Update May 2017

Dear Vic Chapter member,

We are writing to let you know of recent changes to the Victorian Chapter executive committee. Kathy has accepted the position of National Secretary and while still attending and supporting the Vic chapter, will no longer have an active role at the state level. She would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support during her time as State Chair. Tash Jennings, the current Vice Chair, has agreed to undertake the State Chair role as an interim measure until the State elections are held late June.  Andrea Totney  has kindly agreed to step into the Vice Chair role, retaining the Education portfolio, until the elections.

Chapter Meeting information

The Victorian chapter meetings, held bimonthly, offer an opportunity for networking, professional development encompassing clinical studies, research and educational updates. We have also introduced a journal club whereby member’s publications and research may be acknowledged and applauded. We welcome any suggestions that you may have to incorporate professional development sessions into our meeting format.

For all meetings we have teleconferencing facilities available, and we are looking to introduce new technology with which we can connect with more of you in a Webinar-type version of the usual meetings. The traditional face-to-face meeting format will continue as well. We hope that by offering alternate meeting delivery that we can instil a renewed energy for meeting attendance and encourage greater member participation.  If you plan on attending the meetings in person they will all held at the ANMF building, 540 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. To join the meetings by teleconferencing facilities or webinar-style attendance please let Jenny Furness (Sec) know a week prior to the meeting and she will arrange your virtual attendance for you.
